I want to check 2018-19 laptop list 8the class Rbse | 8th Grade Laptop Shopping List for 2018-19

It’s that time of year again! In just three months, it will be time to go back to school, and you’ll have to figure out which laptop to buy. To make the process easier, here’s an 8th grade laptop shopping list to help you get ready for next year. Some of these items are more optional than others, but all of them are great ways to enhance your computing experience at school. Some of these links are affiliate links – if you click through and buy something, I may receive commission on those sales. At no additional cost to you, of course!

#1: Windows 10

If you're looking for a new laptop for the 8th grade, then you'll want to make sure it has Windows 10. This operating system is the latest from Microsoft and comes with a lot of great features. For example, you'll be able to use the new Edge browser, which is faster and more secure than previous versions of Internet Explorer.

You'll also have access to the Windows Store, where you can download apps and games. There are some other benefits that come with Windows 10 too, like built-in virus protection and encryption technology that's much better than what was available in previous versions of the operating system.

2: A Quad Core Processor: These days, there are two main types of processors that laptops use: Intel or AMD. And while both work well enough, Intel chips will generally provide better performance - especially when running multi-threaded applications like video editing software or high end computer games. And if you plan on doing any sort of gaming on your laptop during your senior year in high school then it's important to get one with an Intel processor because they will outperform AMD chips by at least 30%.

#2: Intel Core i5 Processor

The 8th grade laptop shopping list for 2018-19 includes the Intel Core i5 Processor. This processor is the newest and most powerful in the Core lineup. It offers improved performance over the previous generation and is perfect for students who need a laptop that can handle demanding tasks.

The processor also has Turbo Boost 2.0 technology, which allows it to automatically increase its clock speed when needed. That means you don't have to worry about your laptop slowing down because of heavy workloads. Its frequency can be as high as 3.6 GHz with four cores, 3.2 GHz with six cores, or 2.8 GHz with eight cores.

Additional specs include an L3 cache of up to 12 MB and TDP of up to 35 W, meaning the processor is fast but doesn't consume too much power.#3: Screen Size: A 15 screen size is recommended for 8th graders in 2018-19.

With a screen size of 15 inches, you can still carry your laptop around to school or work but have plenty of screen real estate when working on homework. A larger screen will be helpful with more demanding tasks like photo and video editing, which can require more vertical space.

If you find that 15 inches is still too big to carry around, a 13.3 inch screen may be better. It's bigger than an 11.6 inch laptop but smaller than a 15 inch screen. This will fit comfortably in most backpacks and should make it easier to carry around.

#3: RAM: 8GB of RAM

is recommended for students in 8th grade in 2018-19 school year.  When you're running multiple programs at once, having enough RAM can mean the difference between smooth operation and laggy performance. An 8GB laptop will help ensure that this isn't an issue.

A computer with 16 GB of RAM would give you even more breathing room; however, 16 GB laptops are typically less affordable than those with 8 GB of RAM.

While not necessary for every student, they could be worth considering if you want to do heavier computing tasks like playing games or using software that requires significant processing power.#4: Solid State Drive (SSD): SSD drives are faster than hard disk drives (HDD) so data loads quicker and apps open faster. They're also lighter weight so carrying them around won't cause your arms to get tired from lugging them all day long.

#3: Anti-Glare Screen

When you're looking at laptops, it's important to consider the screen. A lot of students prefer an anti-glare screen, because it's easier on the eyes. It's also important to think about the size of the screen. You don't want something too big or too small. Another thing to keep in mind is the resolution. A higher resolution means that you'll be able to see more on the screen at once. Finally, think about whether you want a touch screen or not.

#4: 4GB RAM

As your child heads into the 8th grade, they'll need a laptop that can keep up with their academics. 4GB of RAM is a good starting point for most students. This will allow them to have multiple tabs and programs open at once without running into issues.

Plus, it's a good amount of RAM for light gaming and other activities.

#5: 128GB SSD Drive or HDD Drive

One of the most important things to consider when buying a laptop for school is the type of storage drive it has. A solid state drive (SSD) is much faster than a regular hard disk drive (HDD), meaning your computer will boot up quicker and programs will load faster. If you can afford it, an SSD is definitely the way to go.

#6: Backlit Keyboard (For Night Typing)

Do you type a lot at night? If so, you might want to consider getting a laptop with a backlit keyboard. This will allow you to see the keys more easily in low light situations and can help prevent eye strain.

There are two types of laptop keyboards: standard and backlit. Standard keyboards are easier to type on, but they can be harder to see in low light situations. Backlit keys (such as you’ll find on gaming laptops) can also help prevent eye strain and make it easier to type no matter what time of day it is.

#7: Battery Life at Least 5 Hours (Optional)

1. Depending on how you plan to use your laptop, battery life may or may not be a key factor in your decision.

2. If you plan to use your laptop for long periods of time without access to an outlet, it's important to make sure the battery will last at least 5 hours.

3. Some laptops come with extended batteries that offer 6 or more hours of use, but they tend to be more expensive.

4. If you're not concerned about battery life, you can focus on other features like processor speed, size, and price.

5. It's also important to consider the type of charger that comes with the laptop. Some are more bulky and difficult to travel with than others.

#8: Aesthetically Pleasing Design (Optional)

A laptop is a big investment, and you want to be sure you get one that will last and that you'll enjoy using. But looks aren't everything. You also want to make sure the machine is powerful enough to handle whatever you throw at it and that it has all the features you need. Here's a list of things to keep in mind when shopping for an 8th grade laptop

You can't go wrong with devices from our top laptop brands, including Apple, Dell, Asus and HP. But do your homework to see what's available. Every laptop brand has its strengths and weaknesses; they might not all have exactly what you're looking for in an 8th grade machine. For example, if you want a device that lasts a long time on a single charge, look for one with a larger battery.

That’s it! Happy shopping!

Shopping for a laptop can be overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be! This list has everything you need to get started on your search for the perfect 8th grade laptop. From choosing between Mac and PC, to getting tips on what size of screen is best for different tasks, this post will help guide you in the right direction.

Let’s talk about which operating system (OS) might work best for your student: OS are not all created equal! If they don't already know which OS they want, I recommend talking with them about what their needs are and making sure they know that both Mac and PC offer some great options.

A lot of kids these days prefer Mac because of its style or design features; however, if security is a concern for them or if they're interested in gaming or coding languages like Python or C++ then PC might be better option.

It’s always a good idea to consider weight and size, too. If your student will be carrying it back and forth to school every day, you’ll want to make sure it’s light enough for them. Size is important because some laptops have screens that are 13 or 14 inches wide—which can cause eye strain if they have to stare at them all day long. If your student doesn't have a lot of storage space on their laptop, you might also want to think about purchasing an external hard drive or cloud storage.

It’s got an all-black plastic build. There’s some flex due to the plastic but build quality feels better than the cheaper Acer's  Nitro 5 I recently tested.    We are looking at under 4.8lb or 2.2kg for the laptop alone, then right on 6lb or about 2.7kg total with the 135watt power brick and cables included. The size is decent for a 15-inch gaming laptop , not super thin or anything, but not huge and still portable. This smaller footprint allows for 6mm thin screen bezels on the sides.
