Alienware x17 R2 Get480Hz Displays I m17 R5 Get480Hz Displays

Alienware x17 R2 and m17 R5 Get480Hz Displays

The Alienware x17 R2 and Alienware m17 R5 will both get optional 480Hz displays with G-Sync support and Tobii eye tracking built-in, Dell has confirmed. The company made the announcement on Twitter today, adding that it’s the first in the world to do so. They'll also be available with 60Hz panels at FHD resolution with FreeSync support, which Dell claims makes them the world's most powerful AMD laptops, in addition to being VR ready, of course.

Dell's Alienware laptops and desktops switched entirely AMD earlier this year, improving performance at a range of price ranges. With the addition of the newest Radeon RX 6850M XT GPU and 480Hz screens to its gaming laptops, Alienware is now taking things to the next level.

In addition to the Alienware x17 R2 gaining a "first-of-its-kind" 480Hz refresh rate display, Dell revealed potential upgrades and new configuration options for its very competent Alienware m17 R5 laptop, making it the "world's most powerful AMD laptop." The business also announced a new Dell G16 laptop with a lower price point.

Imagine having a 17-inch display operating at 480Hz with all that power and performance—battery life is dead.

Introducing the Most Powerful AMD Laptop

The Alienware m17 R5 is now available with optional upgrades that make it the most powerful AMD laptop in the world. Additionally, the Alienware x17 R2 gets a first-of-its-kind 480Hz refresh rate display. These laptops are sure to give you an edge on the competition.

With AMD SmartShift technology, which dynamically shifts power for the best overall results, this computer delivers remarkable performance. AMD FreeSync, AMD SmartAccess Graphics, and other improvements.

The top-tier option for the m17 R5, which debuted earlier this year, costs $2,799. You can now order that same capable gaming machine with the best AMD graphics. Then, an optional upgrade to the insane new 480Hz refresh rate display is available for the Alienware m17 R5 and the x17 R2.

The highest choice up until this point was a 360Hz panel. And yes, the top-end Alienware m17 R5 will cost more than $3,000 with the 480Hz panel, which will cost an extra $300 over the base 165Hz version.

The press release claims that the new Dell UHD (1920 x 1080) 480Hz 3ms gaming laptop panels provide an unmatched experience. Take your gaming to the next level with lower latency, faster tracking, smoother animations, and insanely clear pixels. Starting on July 19, any laptop will be available with the new 480Hz displays.

Introducing the World's First 17 360Hz Display

Today, Dell announced that the Alienware m17 R5 laptop will now be available with an optional upgrade to a 480Hz display. This makes it the world's most powerful AMD laptop. Additionally, the company confirmed that the Alienware x17 R2 will also get a 480Hz display. This is a first-of-its-kind display for a laptop. The new displays offer a refresh rate that is nearly four times faster than traditional displays.

This new 480Hz model is a 1080p screen that is getting closer to perfection in terms of producing crisper animations, even though each model can be modified with up to 4K displays. Additionally, it will help eliminate stuttering gameplay, which may be more significant for the population that Dell is targeting with these computers. The Alienware X17 R2 and M17 R5 have already been released, and an upgrade to a 480Hz screen costs $300 over the standard model's 165Hz panel.

This information comes out at the same time that Alienware's M17 R5 with AMD Advantage goes on sale. Alienware first unveiled the M17 R5 at CES 2022. The fastest Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 9 processors from AMD as well as the fastest laptop GPUs from the Radeon RX 6-series can be equipped with this device.

Additionally, AMD is making a lot of noise about the benefits that those components are purported to provide, including the capacity to move memory and power to other components as needed to boost them. The M17 R5 can be configured to your preferences if you prefer an Intel/NVIDIA system, and the 480Hz panel supports either AMD FreeSync or G-Sync adaptive sync technology.

Best Gaming Laptops On Display at PAX East

Dell announced at PAX East that the Alienware m17 R5 laptop will have an optional upgrade to a 480Hz display, making it the world’s most powerful AMD laptop. Additionally, the company confirmed that the Alienware x17 R2 will also get a 480Hz display, making it the first-of-its-kind. These displays will be on display at PAX East, so be sure to check them out if you’re in attendance!

On paper, the 480Hz refresh rate might seem more significant than it actually is, at least for the majority of users. The biggest gain will be noticed by competitive players who prefer a display that puts fewer frames on the table.

But bear in mind that you'll need to make sure the M17 R5 or X17 R2 you buy has a good enough GPU to push frame rates that high in order to genuinely benefit from its 480Hz refresh rate. And because of this, not many games will probably be able to fully exploit this absurd pace. Realistically, the list might contain classic titles and multiplayer shooters like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, but probably not the most recent releases.

Upgrades & Configurations - New with Alienware

Dell has announced optional upgrades and additional configuration options for its highly capable Alienware m17 R5 laptop, making it the world’s most powerful AMD laptop. The company has also confirmed that the Alienware x17 R2 will get a first-of-its-kind 480Hz refresh rate display.

However, I'll never be angry with businesses for lifting the bar. I didn't believe that laptop manufacturers would hurry quickly to bring a laptop that quickly to market when we saw this prototype 500Hz gaming panel emerge from cover in early 2022. However, here we are. And I wouldn't anticipate that these displays will exclusively be included in Alienware laptops this year.

Introducing an Immersive Gaming Experience on PC

Dell has announced that its Alienware m17 R5 laptop will now offer an optional upgrade to a 480Hz display, making it the world’s most powerful AMD laptop. The company has also confirmed that the Alienware x17 R2 will be getting a similar display, making it the first PC with a refresh rate of 480Hz. This is a huge step forward for gaming laptops, as it offers an immersive experience that was previously only possible on high-end desktop PCs.

In several small outward ways, such as by removing the MicroSD card from the right edge, Alienware has changed the chassis of the R5 from the Alienware m17 R4. There are still two USB-A ports there (plus one at the back), but the left edge now only has a combo jack and 2.5Gb Ethernet.

A third USB-A port, a single USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) port that can also offer 15W to power or charge your devices, and the charging port are all located around the back of the device. The three USB-A connectors on the laptop are all 5Gbps models.

m17 R5 Alienware

Even though this laptop has a fair selection of connections, and I like that it has two USB-A ports on the side, choosing an AMD-based laptop will surely reduce the bandwidth and speed of your ports. Modern Intel-based gaming laptops typically have more than one USB-C connector and speedier Thunderbolt ports, if not all of them.

The cooling system inside the Alienware m17 R5 is also upgraded. A unique vapour chamber for the CPU, which Alienware claims contains 349 percent more room than earlier models, is also said to have more fan blades, according to the manufacturer. Additionally, based on five distinct user-controlled power states, each of the two fans is capable of independently spinning at a different speed. This led to fan noise during my game testing that, while not quiet by standards for non-gaming laptops, wasn't as loud as many high-end gaming setups I've tested in the past.

Lenovo 15 Ideapad 3 Review    Does mouse connect to Lenovo 15 Ideapad 3 Ein? If you click on any link on This Blog & decide to buy it, we may earn a small commission. The Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 is a budget-friendly gaming laptop with a lot to offer for the money. Mine has the 6core Ryzen 5 4600H processor with Nvidia GTX 1650 Ti graphics, But there are other configurations available including, Intel-based, you can check out those and updated prices linked in the description. It’s got an all-black plastic build. There’s some flex due to the plastic but build quality feels better than the cheaper Acer's  Nitro 5 I recently tested.    We are looking at under 4.8lb or 2.2kg for the laptop alone, then right on 6lb or about 2.7kg total with the 135watt power brick and cables included. The size is decent for a 15-inch gaming laptop , not super thin or anything, but not huge and still portable. This smaller footprint allows for 6mm thin screen bezels on the sides.
